Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing (RQF)

EU and UK regulations state that all food handlers must receive appropriate training in food safety practices relevant to their duties. However, having a good understanding of food safety practices is not only a legal requirement, but it is also essential in protecting the health of both consumers and food handlers.

Intended Audience

The Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification specifically designed for people working, or planning to work, in a food manufacturing environment.

Course Overview

During this 1 day course, Learners will build an understanding of safe food handling practices and the importance of keeping foods safe. Topics covered include personal responsibility for food safety, the importance of personal hygiene, keeping work areas clean and hygienic, and the importance of keeping products safe.

Assessment Methods

1 x Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper) and continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.
